TOKYO MODERNISM will be held again this year.
Our shop will be participating in two of the three events: "MODERNISM SHOW" and "MODERNISM AUCTION."
As soon as preparations are complete, we plan to introduce the items for sale in an Instagram post.

TOKYO MODERNISM 2024

Life in Art "TOKYO MODERNISM 2024" is opening, showcasing the aesthetic and functional beauty created by outstanding designers from around the world, primarily during the mid-century period (1940s-1960s) in Europe, Scandinavia, America, and Japan, along with the background in which they were created.
This year, its third iteration, will consist of three parts: "MODERNISM SHOW," "MODERNISM AUCTION," and "Mid-Century MUJI."
It will be a special two months to see, learn about, and enjoy modernist design in Tokyo. Please look forward to it.
MODERNISM SHOW
Venue: MUJI HOTEL GINZA 7F, 8F Guest Rooms

This is the main event of "TOKYO MODERNISM," where about 30 domestic and international galleries and vintage shops will specially exhibit and sell items in the guest rooms of MUJI HOTEL GINZA, which will be transformed into temporary shops.
It's a special four days where you can see, touch, and purchase exquisite vintage modern design items from around the world, discovered through the discerning eyes of unique owners. This is where masterpieces created by designers and craftsmen from various countries and historical backgrounds, such as America, Brazil, Scandinavia, Europe, and Japan, meet their next owner and begin their journey into the future.
Overseas, exhibitions and markets for modern design from the mid-20th century, such as "Design Miami" in Miami, USA, and "Downtown Modernism" in Los Angeles, are held annually. An event of this scale has not been held in Japan before, but "MODERNISM SHOW" aims to grow into an annual event that attracts enthusiasts who love vintage modern design from all over the world.

MODERNISM AUCTION
Venue: IDÉE TOKYO

An auction to pass on items cherished and used by about 40 shop and gallery owners participating in TOKYO MODERNISM 2024, as well as creators and artists associated with MUJI and IDÉE, to their next owners.
The theme for this auction is "Chairs" & "Objects." Focusing on modern design items, exhibitors will offer vintage chairs and objects that they have cherished and used.
The auction will be held in two separate sessions during the period.
The exhibited items will be available for viewing at the gallery adjacent to IDÉE TOKYO.
It will be a silent auction format, where there will be no bidding, and the highest bidder will be the successful bidder, who will be contacted only if their bid is successful.
