A cast bronze door handle by Alvar Aalto.
Designed in 1954 as part of the architecture for the Rautatalo office building, which he himself designed and was completed in 1955, it was subsequently used in his other architectural works.
It is one of the details that symbolize Aalto's philosophy of designing the entire space, from architecture and furniture to lighting and hardware.

The soft, organically curved form is designed to fit naturally in the hand by making the part where the fingers wrap around thin when grasped.
Additionally, to accommodate height differences from adults to children, multiple handles can be connected by aligning the upper and lower curves.

Hand-polished after casting, the polished bronze surface accentuates the material's mass and organic form, giving it the presence of a small sculptural work despite being a functional architectural component.

There are designs for the right and left hands, and this one is for the right hand.
* There are small dents and minor scratches, but it is in good condition with no noticeable damage.
